Birthday

This was the day my grandson was born. First boy in 3 generations.

1. This is the 3rd and final drawing.
Yes, it was a struggle, but it is just paper.
I changed the positions of the many objects until it felt right.

2. The first layer is soft.

3. Here I was trying to keep the hair light so that it would stay behind the clock.

4. I always do a black and white study of my painting to see if I want to make changes.

5. I did make a few. One was to add value to the clock.
The other was to extend the disk on Mars.
